Hi everyone! Spring is here and that means it's time for some outdoor crafting fun. Whether you're a seasoned DIYer or just getting started, we've got four projects that will make your spring even better and add a touch of color to your outdoor areas. Ready to craft? Let's get started!
Mosaic Mural
First on our list, we even have a handy-dandy way that you can use all the scraps from your other projects. Using these material leftovers and our 3M tape, you can perfectly piece together gorgeous works of art - whether it’s abstract or the pieces come together to make a picture, it’s a fabulous way to add some personality to your outdoor spaces. We love when repurposed supplies and creativity come together to create magic!
Outdoor signs
For creating an outdoor sign, you'll need a few supplies such as acrylic sheets, your laser cutter and adhesives/hook & loop attachments. For acrylic sheets, we love these reflective sheet options because of the beautiful way that they reflect the sun. To begin your project, work with your laser to cut out pieces in the shape(s) you desire. Then finish off with the acrylic paint pens or other embellishments like greenery, bows, or ribbon to level up your design and create an extra special touch. Now, all that's left is to hang the sign wherever it makes you happiest!
Outdoor Luminary
Next on our list is an illuminated outdoor centerpiece. To make this project you'll need acrylic sheets, your laser cutter, and a liquid glue (like clear Gorilla Glue or a bonding agent like WeldOn). Start by using your laser to cut out your chosen designs from the acrylic sheets. Wait until you see all of the possibilities you can create from our colorful assortment! We think a great pick for this project are our one-sided and two-sided frosted sheets, to add the perfect splash of color as they diffuse the light. Once that's done, it's time to add the battery-operated lights for an extra sparkle. Finally finish off with gluing all of your pieces together for a one-of-a-kind outdoor masterpiece!
Garden Markers
Last up in our Spring crafting extravaganza, we have DIY garden markers made of laser-cut and engraved acrylic sheets. Our acrylic sheets make a great option as they are so easy to work with and give your garden a great pop of color. Use your laser to engrave words onto your pieces that signify each plant in your garden. This is a great way to remember what you planted last year and keep track of your plants this year. You can also use these garden markers as a way to add a personalized message with a plant that is given as a gift!
